Wrap Up with Landmark Agreements and Cross-Border Collaboration

The thirteenth edition of the MEET ICT Conference and the Bahrain International Technology Exhibition BITEX concluded following three days of activities held under the theme “Innovate, Transform, Elevate: AI for the New Economy”.

The event was organized by BTECH society at the Gulf Convention Centre in cooperation with WorkSmart for Events Management, with strategic partnership from Tamkeen and sponsored by Gulf Business Machines, Alba, Computer World, Almoayyed Computers Middle East, and Manage Engine. Microsoft is serving as the event’s technology partner, while CTM360 is participating as the cybersecurity partner.

The event brought together a distinguished group of leading entities including the Shura Council, ThinkSmart for Development and Training, Caza Souq, Zoho, Silah Gulf, Hilal Group, Etisalcom and General Assembly and more.

The conference and exhibition served as a platform for establishing new strategic partnerships among the participating entities. The most notable of these was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Gulf Future Business and Impact Management, aimed at advancing digital transformation solutions for businesses, institutions and SMEs across Bahrain and the region.

The event further highlighted the recognition of Noventiq as the Microsoft Country Partner of the Year in Bahrain for 2025, an accolade conferred in the presence of Sheikh Saif Hosni, Regional Country Manager for Microsoft in Oman and Bahrain, and Mr. Amit Nandi, General Manager of Noventiq in the GCC.

This year’s edition was marked by a notable presence from the Jordanian delegation and the Moroccan pavilion represented by key players like Works Platform, Ulteos, Synaptique, S4U, IT Road Group, Indata Core, Digitancy, AGIRH, Skatys and Indusnov Solutions. The event comprised business leaders and investors whose participation featured extensive showcases of advanced artificial intelligence products, solutions, and applications. alongside the conclusion of strategic business agreements with international counterparts. Through these engagements, the delegation sought to connect expertise and talent across multiple countries, enhance cooperation, promote the exchange of knowledge and best practices and cultivate partnerships that support continued growth and prosperity within the ICT sector.

The conference delivered a comprehensive program that featured a series of panel discussions, specialized sessions and hands-on workshops. Among these was a PANEL session titled “Empowering the Future: Skilling for the AI Era in GCC”, which explored the knowledge and tools needed to prepare national talents for the next phase of technological advancement. Another session titled “Bahrain AI Roadmap” examined the national strategies and initiatives shaping the development of artificial intelligence in the Kingdom and the opportunities to guide its growth in sustainable ways.

A speaking session titled “Building Trust in AI: Ethics and Cybersecurity” highlighted essential considerations related to security, responsibility and ethical implementation of AI technologies. This was followed by another panel discussion titled “AI Innovations and Startup Ecosystem”, which addressed the role of AI and emerging technologies in empowering entrepreneurs and accelerating innovation across regional and global markets.

The event further featured a series of well-attended specialized workshops titled ‘AI in Action: Discover, Build and Create with Azure’ and ‘Cloud Foundations – Building Your Future in the Digital Era’, both conducted by ThinkSmart. Other workshops included ‘Cybersecurity for CNI Leaders’ by CTM360, which addressed critical strategies and best practices for protecting critical national infrastructure. The fourth workshop, ‘The Intelligent Government: How AI Agents Will Define the Next Decade of Bahrain’s Leadership’ presented by GBM, explored the transformative potential of AI agents in shaping the future of government services and leadership in Bahrain.
